11:15 – 12:00 | CODESYS in the FIELD:
Application Story with ExxonMobil Anchorage Chemical Terminal
- Topic: Using CODESYS to implement the first commercial Open Process Automation (OPA) system in Production for an End User
- Description:
- Open Process Automation has a vision of an open, standards-based, secure, and interoperable automation architecture that promotes technology insertion and business value growth.
- Much of the technology for this vision is software centric, and Software Defined Process Control and Automation is the system model.
- The OPA attributes of Interoperability, Interchangeability, and Portability resting on the foundation of Security, Manageability, and Reliability are the focus of such a system. The use of CODESYS provides a great example of how these attributes are met in the effort to assemble the OPA-based COPA 500 automation system. You’ll learn why saying Yes to Open Process Automation means never having to say No to your automation technology needs.
- Presented by: David DeBari, Chief Process Control Engineer, CPLANE

It connects its data over a Corporate Ethernet Network to a Historian via MQTT Sparkplug B while simultaneously serves this data via OPC-UA to CODESYS to a BACNet/IP Building Automation System for a Pharmaceutical Research Building Complex. The application also consists of a LoRaWAN Commissioning Tool to read in LoRaWAN data to map into internal Registers of the Quantum.
The LoRaWAN sensors, Gateway and TTN Server provide GPS coordinates to determine location, and the LoRaWAN sensor provides a “Wink” function for local identification of the specific Node from a SmartPhone App. - Presented by: Kevin S Smith, Wireless Automation Director, ELPRO

- Topic: From Prompt to PLC | Accelerating CODESYS Projects with MCP on an Open Edge Platform
- Description: CODESYS MCP and Weidmuller's u-OS MCP give AI agents access to both the control project and the running device.
We will demonstrate how this reduces repetitive engineering work, speeds commissioning, and helps integrators troubleshoot unfamiliar systems
without replacing experienced engineering judgment. - Presented by:
- Christopher Deloglos, US Strategic Product Manager for u-OS,Weidmueller

- Topic: The Jitter Test: Measuring Soft Realtime Where It Matters — a CODESYS PLC Control Demo
- Description: In this demo, we show how NodeWeaver’s soft-real-time capabilities enable mission-critical, latency-sensitive workloads to run alongside standard, non-real-time applications on the same infrastructure. Using a CODESYS PLC control workload, we measure jitter where it matters and demonstrate how industrial IT and OT systems can be safely consolidated onto a single, reliable virtualization layer.
- Presented by: Carlo Daffara, CEO, NodeWeaver
- Topic: Configure, Don't Reprogram: CODESYS Control and Pre-Integrated IIoT on One Edge Device
- Description: Every trip to a remote site costs hours before anyone touches a wrench.
This session shows what it takes to run CODESYS control, cellular connectivity, and data collection on one device instead of three at sites nobody visits — remote download, failover, metered data, and staying in control when the link drops. - Presented by: Bessie Wu, Sales Manager, Southeast Region, InHand Networks and Zeming Wang: Product Manager, InHand Networks
- Topic: DEEP DIVE in Robotic and Safety
- Presented by: Peter Bernhardt, Sales & Marketing Manager, MESCO Engineering
